EMU Supports Children in Need

Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Foreign Languages and English Preparatory School carried out a social responsibility project titled “Helping Kids In Need”. Organised by Mehsen Ercanlar, coordinator of social responsibility projects and academic staff  members Fatma Demirtas and Pembe Tuna, the project included students from the Preparatory School.

The teachers and students visited the Children and Youth Education Centre (COGEM) located in Nicosia. The Children and Youth Education Centre is tied to the Department of Social Services.  During this meaningful visit, various food items  were provided for the children of COGEM.

Berna Arifoglu, COGEM Director at the Department of Social Services, expressed her gratitude regarding EMU’s project and thanked all involved whilst noting that the teachers and students are set to take part in further projects in the near future.
