Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Communication, Department of Public Relations and Advertising students carried out a meaningful social responsibility project, coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Umut Ayman, within the scope of Social Responsibility (HIRE303) course. With the contributions of Lion Trading, students Asya Savant, Ömer Altunç, Alya Bakkaloğlu and Deniz Nalbant organized the said event at Alasya Vakıflar Preschool. As part of the project, students met with preschool students in a joyful cookie making session. The event was realized through the oven, aspirator and stove donated by the Lion Trading.
Carried out under the coordination of EMU Community Involvement Center (CIC), the project aimed not only to raise awareness on social sensitivity but also to introduce the children with notions of production, sharing and solidarity. During the event, preschoolers had great time making cookies while they also improve their fine motor skills.
Administration and teachers of Alasya Vakıflar Preschool extended their thanks to EMU students, Assist. Prof. Dr. Umut Ayman, EMU Community Involvement Center and Lion Trading, noting that such collaboration play a significant role on the development of children.
